This Zara silk shift lacked zip. I got it for a good price, and it is lovely silk with full lining, but not very comfortable and elegant but drab.
I dug into my back closet to find this chiffon blouse that belonged to Maestro Comissiona’s wife, Robinne.
I cut off the sleeves and inserted them into the dress.
Then created a slit in the dress to add a wedge in order to both widen the hemline and integrate the new sleeves with the overall look of the dress. I topped it off with a button at the apex of the wedge.
